As a graduate of U.C. Irvine School of Medicine and Residency in Psychiatry with 28 years of experience diagnosing and treating behavioral conditions, author of over 35 peer reviewed publications in mood and anxiety disorders, and a professor of psychiatry in charge of the psychopharmacology course for psychiatric residents at U.C.I., I am in a unique position to understand and provide the most appropriate therapy for my patients' emotional needs. I am at the forefront of psychiatric treatments and am sought out by therapists and physicians for treatment of the most difficult psychiatric cases as well as for my compassionate care.
As a result of my extensive experience, treating thousands of patients, excellent diagnostic skills, and ability to obtain a very thorough history, many of my patients who were not improving with other therapies notice a significant reduction in symptoms. I do my best to educate patients to provide them the highest chance of success.
While my specialty is the medical treatment of psychiatric illness, including mood and anxiety disorders, ADD, autism, and schizophrenia, I am invested in getting to know each of my patients and the stresses they are experiencing. Psychotherapy is incorporated into every visit. I am highly compassionate and strive to relieve the pain of my patients.
