My training and clinical experience of 3 decades include general medicine, neuropsychiatry; comprehensive adult psychiatry, sexual medicine, various psychotherapies (such as here-and-now focused therapy); rTMS; esketamine (Spravato) and ketamine treatments; psychiatric genetic testing; and advanced psychopharmacology with integrated supportive psychotherapy / counseling during patient sessions. I employ a multidimensional and integrated approach toward an accurate and comprehensive diagnosis and effective treatment strategies. I am in the clinical faculty at the GWU, Depart. of Psychiatry. (Note: not offering rTMS at this time)
Obsessive-compulsive spectrum such as OCD and Body Dysmorphia; Mood Disorders; Anxiety Disorders ; PTSD; ADHD; Sexual Function Issues. Biomedical treatment is often integrated with psychotherapy in treatment sessions , and when needed, some patients may be referred to another mental health professional for a separate course of talk therapy (psychotherapy).
Having completed multiple courses of training in Medicine, Neuropsychiatry and Psychiatry, in European as well as American traditions; and learning, researching, teaching, and practicing in the field for 3 decades allow me to offer an optimal integration of various dimensions and approaches in the service of my patients.
