I understand that having a good rapport with your psychiatrist is as important as the treatment itself. My aim is to help individuals explore their feelings to overcome the obstacles that lie in the way of gaining acceptance of themselves and reaching their goals. You may feel reluctant asking others for help, especially when it involves discussing personal issues with someone you barely know. I provide a brief telephone consultation at no charge to help new patients find out if we are a right fit.
I am an ABPN Board Certified Psychiatrist. Psychiatrists are medical doctors who are trained in psychotherapy. Prior to psychiatry, I trained in surgery. I am able to look at the psychological and social dimensions of individuals as well as the biological. These perspectives help me to understand your needs.
I am a Lifetime Member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and am a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and The College of Physicians of Philadelphia.
