Dr. Forthner earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization as a Clinical Nurse Leader and Dual Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of TN Health Science Center. She has worked in the MICU at Memphis VA Medical Center and transitioned to inpatient geriatric and forensic nursing. As a nurse practitioner, her practice specialization has been in the treatment of inpatient and outpatient children, adolescents, and adults at Four County Counseling Center and veterans with the Northern IN VA Healthcare System
