Life can be hard but it’s the struggle that unites us. When we are in the midst of hardship it can be difficult to reach out for help. It is this knowledge that compels me to be a source of support to my clients. It is this understanding that motivates my empathy. Science teaches us of the interconnectedness of the mind and body and the benefits of community. Therefore, a holistic approach which addresses physical, emotional, spiritual, and social wellbeing along with medication evaluation can be the most healing for mental health.
My exposure to the world of healthcare began at the age of 17 when I took on a job as hostess for a local hospital in my small community. This is when I realized that the joy of serving others could lead to a profession that I could be passionate about. The exposure ultimately became a stepping stone to a decade long nursing career.
I obtained an MSN from the USD in 2020 and went on to a Child Adolescent Psychiatric NP fellowship at UCSD. I am a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. I make it my personal mission to partner with those who want to take control of personal pain and loss so that we can make this world a little more beautiful than before.
