This philosophy of practice has been developed from her experience across a variety of clinical populations, such as individuals struggling with mood, personality, and anxiety disorders, substance use disorders, grief/loss, homelessness, Active-Duty Service members and Veterans, and people in the criminal justice system.
Shana is extensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and has over seven years of experience practicing DBT across an array of modalities including individual, family, couples, group and community-based therapy. Shana is also formally trained in Psychiatric Medicine as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
Shana acknowledges that attempting to find a personal balance between therapy and medications can feel daunting and sometimes hopeless. Shana believes in joining her clients on their current journey and assists them on gaining an established sense of security & stability, regardless of what obstacles and new adventures their unique path presents.
