Hello, I’m Tim, a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I have always been interested in the mind-body connection and am very excited to work with new patients to help them define what they would like to work on and find a safe and effective path forward.

I've embraced roles ranging from EMT at 16 to specializing in pediatric nursing and emergency/trauma care. I received my BSN and MSN-Ed from the University of Central Florida, I now tread the path toward a DNP at Regis University. Simultaneously, I serve as a full-time assistant professor, imparting knowledge and nurturing future healthcare professionals. I completed my Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) education through Colorado State University-Pueblo, where I'm fostering a passion for mental health across the lifespan. My passion is to provide care that is more than a ten-minute conversation, and the only answer is more medication that is not working. My care focuses on the client and their individual needs. First and foremost, I will listen to you. I believe that the best results come from a care plan that looks at all options, and is created with you. Combining integrative treatments, traditional treatments and outside-of-the-box plans will result in a tailored approach that works for you. I will meet you right where you are at. I attended The University of Colorado College of Nursing & Health Sciences, where I received a Master of Science in Nursing, specializing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).

My ideal patients are those who advocate for their healing process and journey. As a Physician Assistant I greatly value being a guide and resource for patients, aiding them in discovering their full potential. I greatly appreciate providing an array of healing modalities including, but not limited to, medication management, holistic/herbal remedies, and brief psychotherapeutic support. While I enjoy working with all demographics, what I am truly passionate about is working with middle-aged women, especially those struggling with menstruation and/or additional complications or concerns of the female body and function.

My journey into psychiatric mental health care spans diverse experiences. Originating from Ghana, I earned degrees in Marketing, Psychology, and Political Science before delving into nursing in the United States. With a background in nursing education and a focus on PMHNP, I am pursuing my DNP.

I intend to understand your values, needs, and emotions. Effective treatment starts with trust and feeling heard without judgment. Your initial appointment can be in person or in the comfort of your home utilizing telehealth. By learning about you, your family history, and your symptoms, we can develop a treatment plan we are both comfortable with.

Together, we explore how this affects you physically, socially, psychologically and spiritually, and we formulate a plan together. Some people prefer to engage in therapy, exploring their dreams and learning coping skills; some people prefer medication to help see a quick change; some people want both.
