I am a Board certified psychiatrist with a broad training in psychotherapy, psychopharmacology, addiction, and emergency psychiatry. I treat adolescents and adults with a variety of mood and anxiety disorders, panic attacks, PTSD, insomnia, personality disorders, interpersonal and parenting issues by using evidence-based psychopharmacological methods as well as cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, supportive therapy, and, most importantly, an empathetic and non-judgmental approach. I received my training in Russia, where I practiced psychiatry for eight years and in the United States from NY School of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by 4 year of residency at St.Lukes Roosevelt Hospital.
In addition to private practice, I have experience working in diverse settings. I work in community psychiatry, providing care to people with severe mental health issues in underserved areas of the city as well as in a psychiatric emergency room at Mount Sinai Roosevelt Hospital, supervising residents and medical students.
