I'm an old-fashioned psychiatrist, trained and experienced in psychotherapy as well as in pharmacology. I offer either treatment alone, or the two combined. I have a solo practice in a private, quiet setting.
My basic approach to therapy is psychodynamic, based on the traditional idea that symptoms and maladaptive behaviors are the result of unresolved issues from the past. I also use other techniques when appropriate.
I work directly for my patients and not for any health care plans. Most people with insurance have out-of-network benefits, and I'm always happy to walk someone through that process. I'm also happy to tailor treatment plans to financial constraints if appropriate.
