I’m not a typical psychiatrist. I work with all of my patients in psychotherapy to explore unconscious patterns and ways of thinking that may be holding them back. I want them to find deep self-love, fierceness, freedom, and connection to something larger than themselves. In addition to exploring medication options, I encourage a meditation practice. I provide education about the latest research in psychedelics. People often come to me who feel lost, stuck, "other," or numb. I welcome seekers who want to know themselves better and feel more connected to the world around them.
My training is from Princeton, Mount Sinai and Columbia. I was on faculty at UCSF before starting a private practice. I've been treating people with depression, anxiety, and trauma for over 15 years. Many people I work with are unsure whether medication is the right path and are looking for a provider who can explore meds, therapy, and lifestyle options.
My practice is designed for patients seeking a thoughtful, comprehensive approach that combines psychotherapy with medication when appropriate.
