I am a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with over 9 years of experience in various settings. My background includes working with individuals with serious mental illness (SMI), as well as adults with general mental health issues, children, adolescents. I take a conservative & intentional approach to prescribing medication. My goal is to use the least amount of medications only if needed, with the lowest effective dose necessary to while minimizing risks such as side effects, dependence. I am cautious with controlled medications, in general do not prescribe often unless it is necessary.
Patient care and advocacy are my priorities! I provide individualized, evidence-based treatment with a conservative approach to prescribing. I take a holistic view of each patient and prioritize direct, honest communication with full transparency in my clinical reasoning.
