I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). I began my career at the Menninger Clinic in Houston, TX where I gained invaluable experience working with young adults with complex trauma, substance abuse, and mood & personality disorders. From this experience, I learned that it is a provider’s responsibility to therapeutically guide care that targets the core issues leading to a patient’s mental health challenges, not just treat a diagnosis. Since leaving Menninger, I have had the chance to care for a variety of patients in community, emergency, and forensic settings.
I am particularly interested in mood, trauma, and inattention & impulsivity disorders, such as depression, PTSD, and ADHD. Much of my outpatient practice has been focused on medication management & the use of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), an advanced treatment option for certain depressive & anxiety-related disorders.
