Aloha kākou. My name is Marquita Granda and I am dually certified as a psychiatric mental health and family nurse practitioner. I see emotional, physical, mental and spiritual health as interdependent and while I emphasize the importance of a healthy lifestyle and social connection, I understand that psychotropic medications can serve an important role in facilitating mental wellness and in treating chemical dependency.
I prescribe psychiatric medications and integrate brief psychotherapy in my patient visits. I currently live between Kaua'i and Hawai'i island but am able to see patients via Zoom on all islands. I am further trained to treat opioid use disorder. Additionally, I treat pregnant and breastfeeding women.
