Many people seeking psychiatric care worry they will be rushed through a short appointment and handed a prescription without being heard. I work differently. As a board-certified psychiatrist and former literature professor, I've learned to listen closely to how memory and narrative shape who we are. I believe good clinical care starts with understanding your history, your goals, and the story behind your symptoms. Your voice is the most important part of the process.
My practice offers unhurried 60-minute evaluations and 30-minute follow-ups. You set the pace, and no decision moves faster than you're comfortable with. I provide care for adults across the full spectrum of psychiatric conditions, with a trauma-focused, DBT-informed approach where appropriate.
I don't provide standalone talk therapy, so you're encouraged to keep working with your therapist. If you don't have one, I will help you find one whose approach matches your needs.
