Dr. Sarah Falcon is a licensed, board-certified physician with specialty certification in Psychiatry. She grew up in Peoria, Illinois, completed her undergraduate degree at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, then went on to earn her M.D. from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, IL. She completed psychiatry residency training at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa, where she also served as Chief Resident.
She is currently part of the Clinical Faculty at the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Illinois College of Medicine and enjoys teaching and working with residents and medical students. Her patients appreciate her sensitive, thorough approach to clinical care, as well as her compassion and empathy.
She is known for using a collaborative care approach and believes it is important for patients to be well-informed and participate actively in their treatment plans. She also is a strong advocate of combining psychotherapy with medications for the best treatment outcomes.
