IOP is in 4 phases, each lasing a minimum of 1 month. Program length is tailored to each person & depends on individual progress & goals achieved (some can complete treatment in 16 weeks, others longer). Phase 1 focuses on stabilization, treatment engagement, & building foundational skills. Phase 2 develops insight, enhances coping skills, & deepens emotional awareness. Phase 3 puts insight into action, reshaping identity, clarifying values, & practicing new behaviors. Phase 4 helps keep momentum while discharge planning, strengthens support systems, & finalizes clinical goals. Group & individual therapy are integrated throughout.
