I help women facing cancer, illness, and difficult life transitions find healing, peace, and contentment in their lives. I am a psychiatrist and psychotherapist with over 15 years of experience. As a cancer survivor, I walk the talk. During our initial sessions, we will delve deeply into the issues at hand, and collaborate to create a plan for addressing them in a way that helps you get your life back. Most of my patients see a gradual lifting of symptoms within the first month and sustained improvement thereafter. If you have been suffering on your own, I want you to know that there is hope for relief, and that you aren’t alone.
I specialize in psychotherapy, with and without integrated use of medication treatment. In addition to a medical degree from the Georgetown University School of Medicine and a residency in psychiatry, I pursued specialized psychotherapy training. I am trained in and use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), EMDR, and mindfulness based therapy.
I know it can be a daunting task to find a therapist and enter into the unknown. I'm glad you've taken the first steps towards meaningful change in your life. My website can address any questions you might have, and I offer secure video appointments, convenient online scheduling, and a free screening consultation: www.peacetreementalhealth.com

I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my practice. In your first session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and then decide the most appropriate ways to help you make progress. With CBT, we'll look at how your thoughts affect your emotions and experience. During treatment, I'll help you learn how to push back against those thoughts to change your feelings for the better.
