About
Life is full of distractions, the expected and unexpected. Activities of daily living keep us from what we treasure most. These distractions cause problems in our relationships, at home, work, school and socially, disrupting the harmony between our inner self and the world around us.
Talk therapy alone works in most situations. Talk treatments I use include psychoanalytic psychotherapy, insight oriented psychotherapy, supportive therapy and psychoanalysis.
In some circumstances, the addition of medication is recommended and discussed.
Problems include: relationship issues, couples, parent- child, employer- employee, major life changes, excessive worrying, stress, racial identity issues, sleep disturbances, moodiness, coping with lose of a loved one and grief. These problems are a manifestation of Adjustment Disorders, Depression, Anxiety Disorders, PTSD, Personality Disorder or Substance use.
In the comfort of my private office by appointment only, we can explore the current and past significant relationships in your life, their influences on you and how you handle your problems. The initial telephone consultation to see if an appointment is appropriate or needed is at no cost to you.
