I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Elmhurst University and Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Rush University. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, I worked as a psychiatric registered nurse for seven years in various settings including: community behavioral health, inpatient psychiatry, residential treatment for substance abuse and obsessive compulsive disorders, and outpatient psychiatry.
I believe mental wellness requires a multifactorial approach and attention not only to medications, but to you as a whole person, including physical activity, sleep, nutrition, physical health, and social connectedness.
Special Interests: behavioral health integration and holistic wellness, mental health promotion, chemical dependency, anxiety and OCD, ADHD, depression and mood disorders, trauma, women’s health.
