I've been working with patients in psychiatry since 2012, and throughout that time I have noticed that not all patients go through a crisis in order to begin their mental health journey. In fact, most patients tend to suffer in silence not really knowing what to do. They have the accomplishments to be happy such as a marriage, a career and even children but they still aren't happy or fulfilled. They aren't so sick that they don't make it to work or take care of their children, but they suffer all the same.
I'm here to help my patients end this cycle of suffering. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner (PMHNP) I can prescribe medications, diagnose psychiatric illnesses, as well as provide brief therapy and suggestions for lifestyle changes to help my patients become the best version of themselves that they can be.
