I have over 20 years of experience in various mental health settings. I have worked with children and adolescents, adults, elderly, forensic psychiatry and substance use disorder. I have a wide knowledge base and enjoy the multi-dimensional population at Victory Bay.
My role as Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is to assess, diagnose, and treat the mental health needs of patients. I may also provide physical and psychosocial assessments, emergency psychiatric care, and treatment evaluations. I create treatments while educating clients and their families on mental health and adjusting medication and treatment plans.
I feel rewarded from being involved directly in improving the lives of people with mental health disorders like depression, PTSD, behavioral disorders, and anxiety. I am passionate about advocating for my patients and educating their communities by increasing awareness and providing education on managing, treating, and destigmatizing mental health problems.
