Dr. Rosario Hidalgo is a board certified psychiatrist with expertise in the diagnosis and psychopharmacological treatment of mood and anxiety disorders in adult patients. She received her medical degree from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1991 and completed psychiatry training in 1996. She subsequently completed her general psychiatry residency and fellowship in psychopharmacology at Duke University in 2005. Dr. Hidalgo sees patients that prefer to be seen in a private setting without using their insurance and with direct contact with a physician/psychiatrist. This allows privacy and quality of care.
Prior to founding Tampa Comprehensive Psychiatry, she was an Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida from 2006 to 2012. At USF she was the Director of the Depression and Anxiety Research Institute, a center conducting clinical research and treating patients in the area of anxiety and mood disorders.
Dr. Hidalgo provides comprehensive evaluations and evidence based treatments. She likes to spend time with her patients to attend to each person's individual needs. No ancillary providers (i.e. a NP or PA) will take part of your visit. Her practice is fee for service ("Out of Network") and Does NOT accept any private or public insurances.
