I see patients from school-aged to 64, specializing in people struggling with focus, inattention, depressive thoughts, anxiety, and mood irregularities. I see people that are struggling in their lives and often times do not understand what these struggles are or how to describe them, but know they want to feel better. I want to partner with people to help them understand what is causing their challenges and more importantly what can be done to improve their quality of life.
I offer counseling as well as medication management. The majority of my patients come open to the idea of medication. I understand taking medications is a very personal decision and as a partnership we will discuss multiple options, while the patient remains the ultimate decision maker.
I view psychiatry as a collaboration where the patient brings the knowledge of their life experiences and unique symptoms while I contribute my knowledge of mental health, diagnoses, and treatments. Together we will create an individualized treatment plan.
