Our calling is to care for those struggling under the gravity of depression, the tension of anxiety, the stress of attention deficit/hyperactivity, the strain of bipolar depression, and the pain of trauma. Our practice motto is: “To heal sometimes, to relieve often, to console always.”

Dr. Robert H. Stewart (MD) has over 40 years of experience in psychiatric practice, including 12 years as the Medical Director for Baptist Hospital East Center for Behavioral Health. Working alongside Dr. Stewart is his wife, psychotherapist Dr. Shari Stewart, M.Div, D.Min and his Physician's Assistant, Bethany Hockensmith, PA-C.

Because of our heart for those suffering from treatment resistant illness we became the first private practice in Louisville to offer ketamine infusions for the treatment of multiple disorders including Treatment Resistant Depression, Anxiety Disorders, OCD, PTSD, and Bipolar Disorder.

My Physicians Assistant, Bethany Hockensmith, PA-C, and I both provide evaluations for medication management of mood and anxiety disorders. We make referrals for psychotherapy to therapists within as well as outside of our practice. We also provide ketamine infusions for those struggling with Treatment Resistant Depression (TRD), Anxiety Disorders, PTSD, OCD, and Bipolar Disorder.
