I have expert knowledge of evaluation, medication treatment and psychotherapy. My approach is to listen carefully, understand your particular needs then tailor customized treatments. For those already in psychotherapy or not having that need, I am happy to provide medication treatment alone. I will monitor your responses to medication carefully so that you do not experience side effects and to see your gains are maximized. I practice an interpersonal form of psychotherapy. In this, interaction is encouraged rather than listening alone. I try to make myself available for your questions and return calls within a day. Appointments are available usually within one week.
I treat stress, anxiety, depression, bipolar, divorce, substance dependence, attention deficit, and other conditions. When we meet, I will address your concerns about medication. I will inform you about the different medication choices and their risks versus benefits. I am sensitive to the potentiial for side effects and therefore prescribe the lowest effective dosage. You will see how safe and effective treatments ehhance your life.
Board Certified. I am affiliated on staff and teach students at New York Presbyterian Hospital, the Weill Cornell Medical College and Lenox Hill Hospital. I studied medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and Psychiatry at Mount Sinai Hospital New York.
