As a UCSF Trained Adult Psychiatrist, am comfortable treating a wide range of mental health disorders. I also tailored my clinical experiences so that in my private practice career I can narrow my focus to clients who also have additional, complex medical issues, such as cancer or chronic medical conditions. I developed an interest in helping people with mental health challenges that often coexist with serious medical illness, such as: adjustment-related mood symptoms, coping with neuropsychiatric symptoms from the diagnosis and/or often aggressive treatments, fatigue, cognitive challenges, and existential or spiritual issues.
I provide exceptional, individualized treatment planning that allows time and space for maintaining a high standard of care. My services include the necessary time that I will spend on developing a personalized treatment plan in collaboration with you that may include recommendations for medication management, psychotherapy, or a combination of both.
Suffering from a mental disorder can be incredibly lonely, and may be especially isolating when it occurs with other serious medical illnesses.
