I am a dual certified psychiatric and family nurse practitioner. I earned my degrees from the University of Colorado, Anschutz. I have been an FNP for over 15 years working in an outpatient clinic treating common physical health issues with a focus on health promotion and wellness. One thing that has changed immensely since starting my work in family practice is the amount of mental health issues that comes through primary care and how closely our physical and mental health are truly aligned. This is what started my desire to learn more about mental illness, its relationship to physical health, and the medications and therapies.

I am the owner of MINDFUL MINDS PSYCHIATRY and a board-certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatric nurse practitioner who can see people beyond just a diagnosis. I am able to easily empathize, understand, and truly hear their needs. I believe that in order to create a truthful and genuine environment, and relationship between a provider and a person, is to work collaboratively towards their goals; in ways that I can help.

I am here to provide guidance, expertise, and treatment approaches for stress, anxiety, trauma, depression, concentration problems, relationship difficulties, drug or alcohol use, or life/career transitions. No matter what their age, many of the clients who eventually find me have done everything they can on their own and/or with the help of loved ones to manage these issues and are just in need of a little more information, help and support. They are all seeking a professional who can offer insight into what is happening with them or their loved one and provide an assortment of treatment approaches.

Dr. Gadgil, or Dr. G (as his clients/families refer to him), brings over a decade of experience as an empathic and non-judgmental psychiatrist. Currently he is accepting clients globally for Life Coaching only and developing classes and writing a book, in addition to supporting the psychiatric team at Unity Mental Health Care (UMHC). Your initial appointment can be in person or in the comfort of your home utilizing telehealth. By learning about you, your family history, and your symptoms, we can develop a treatment plan we are both comfortable with.

Born and raised in Kansas City, I decided to pursue a medical career during high school. I went to trade school and worked as a medical assistant and phlebotomist. After several years I decided to further my education in nursing, attaining my LPN, RN, BSN, MSN, and post-graduate certification. I graduated summa cum laude from all nursing coursework. Margurite decided to pursue my PMHNP certification out of my desire to more effectively help others suffering from anxiety and depression.

I completed my Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees at Case Western Reserve University. I went on to complete my Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner certification from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

My approach to psychiatry is an eclectic approach to improving your mental wellbeing through medication management and cognitive behavioral psychotherapy. I specialize in the treatment of depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, bereavement and many other psychiatric disorders. I offer in-person and telehealth services. My practice is collaborative and allows you to set the pace for your path to success.
