My name is Kelly Neland and I am a board certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I have completed graduate and post-graduate study in individual and family therapies, psychopharmacology, and psychological assessment and evaluation. I am licensed in Missouri and Kansas as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with diagnostic, treatment, and prescriptive authority. I offer medication management, psychotherapy, and weight loss assistance to individuals, couples, and families experiencing emotional and behavioral problems, anxiety, difficulty adjusting to life circumstances, medical problems or diagnoses, traumatic experiences, a divorce, substance abuse, and issues involving death and dying.
I believe in two important fundamental concepts. The first, the therapeutic relationship is essential and collaboration between the patient and the mental health provider produces the best clinical outcomes; and the second, the mind and body are connected.
