My desire to work with people shifted to a nurse practitioner when I was deployed on the USNS Comfort as a Navy Nurse. I admired how the providers worked one on one with patients to help better their lives with health resources. The smiles of gratitude I witnessed is cemented in my mind. I realized I wanted further my career a nurse practitioner.
