I work with adults with a variety of issues. If you find yourself repeating tangled up patterns in relationships, struggling to make something different happen in your life then these are two areas I emphasize in my practice. I can also offer a non-medication based approach to help folks struggling with insomnia.
I'm trained in both psychodynamic psychotherapy as well as psychoanalysis, this means I do in-depth talk therapy. I also do cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia. This is a non-medication based approach to insomnia. As a general psychiatrist I do offer medication management for sleep and other diagnoses.
I believe that medications are useful, but prescribing is not automatic for me. You and I will decide if meds seem like a good option. Then my goal is to have you on as few meds as possible, at the lowest dose that you can use and still get benefit.
