I have extensive experience of over forty years treating anxiety, depression, panic disorder, O.C.D., mood disorder, bipolar, schizophrenia, among others. I provide comprehensive mental health evaluation, diagnosis,and treatment for the adult, geriatric, and adolescent population. I have special expertise in psychopharmacology and the treatment of individuals who did not respond to various treatments in the past. I believe in compassionate care, I do not give up until my patients feel they have reached their maximum level of wellbeing.

I am Board-Certified in both Adult and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. I have 25 years experience doing evaluations, psychopharmacology, and/or psychotherapy. I am a board-certified psychiatrist who provides psychotherapy and psychopharmacology treatment for adults. After receiving my medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College, I completed residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical Center in Manhattan. Following residency, I worked for several years as an attending psychiatrist on an inpatient unit at Columbia University Medical Center. I specialize in a broad range of psychiatric disorders including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, schizophrenia, and personality disorders. Additionally, I have a particular focus in women's mental health, including psychiatric issues surrounding pregnancy, post-partum, fertility, PMS, and menopause.

I am licensed in New Jersey and New York and offer telepsychiatry at this time. Dr. Stefanovich completed his residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, has a background in research, having done a doctoral thesis in applied molecular biology, as well as postdoctoral research as a Keck fellow at the Psychiatric Institute of New York and then as a postdoctoral fellow at Mount Sinai Hospital in genetics. Dr. Stefanovich treats young adults through seniors.
