I am a board-certified Advanced Practice Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). My career began in 1997, focusing on behavioral therapy with Autistic children in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Since then, I've completed my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Carroll College-Columbia College of Nursing and started working in an acute care psychiatric inpatient facility. Progressing further, I earned my Master of Science in Nursing at California State University Long Beach and have worked in a variety of psychiatric settings.
In addition to working in the adult inpatient behavioral health unit, I have experience in adult outpatient behavioral health, adult intensive outpatient programming, and geriatric inpatient care. I have also provided psychiatric services to various correctional institutions.
In addition to my extensive clinical experience, I am board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association. My current focus is on working with adults suffering from depression, anxiety, and a wide range of other mental health conditions, integrating brief psychotherapy techniques.
