I offer psychiatric services to those age 18 and older. I am based in Sacramento, California. I also offer virtual appointments.

Hi everyone. I'm an analytically-trained psychiatrist with a background in family medical practice and also in Buddhism. At this point my practice is adult psychotherapy and I am no longer treating patients who need medication, nor do I treat children. Although I'm trained in psychoanalytic therapy, my approach varies according to individual needs. I see depressed or anxious patients , those struggling with losses, stress, life events, or in their relationships and other issues as well. I have a particular interest in those with severe depression. I also offer individual training in psychodynamics to adult therapists.

Dr. Gundu Reddy is licensed in California. Prior to starting residency at Mount Sinai School of medicine, she pursued additional research in HIV Psychiatry. As well as residency training, she has also pursued further training in psychodynamic psychotherapy at the NYU Psychoanalytic Institute. She states that whether prescribing medication, family, or relationship therapy, understanding psychodynamic conflict and causes of symptoms will cause help to enhance the quality of care. As well as psychodynamic training Dr. Reddy also has a background in integrative psychiatry and treatment resistance.

My expertise is in psychoanalytic and psychodynamic psychotherapy, an approach that aims to address emotional and psychologic distress through the exploration of unconscious forces that are outside of our awareness and influence how we perceive ourself and others, and how we relate to the world at large. This kind of psychological work is fostered by the development of a strong alliance between the patient and the therapist, which is why I meet with my patients at least once a week and often more frequently, including for full analysis.

Dr. Ibrahimi specializes in psychiatric treatment in child & adolescents, adults, and addiction. He is a member of The American Academy of Psychoanalysis and Dynamic Psychiatry and he is Board certified in Adult Psychiatry. Dr. Ibrahimi channels his energy into providing individualized care for each of his patients, as each patient exhibits a variety of symptoms and disorders.
