Dr. Mark Chofla is a board-certified psychiatrist and physician who completed his specialty residency training at the Los Angeles County + University of Southern California Medical Center. After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from the University of California at Davis, Dr. Chofla earned his medical degree from Midwestern University: Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Robert McLay is a psychiatrist and pain medicine physician who received board certifications in three areas: General Psychiatry, Pain Medicine, and Psychosomatic Medicine (the overlap between medical and mental health). He has a special focus on military, their families, and high-performance issues, but treats all mental health conditions. Dr. McLay received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from The Johns Hopkins University, and his Ph.D. in neuroscience and M.D. from Tulane University. He received specialty training from Naval Medical Center, the University of California San Diego, and the American Psychoanalytic Association.

I am a psychiatrist/psychoanalyst with an interest in psychoanalytic psychotherapy, Relational Psychoanalysis, psychiatric diagnosis, and the impact of anxiety on self-esteem, relational issues, and overall well-being of children, adolescents, and adults. In addition, I have extensive experience treating and supervising others who treate people suffering from narcissism, trauma, dissociation, and Borderline Personality Disorder. I primarily offer weekly to more intensive psychoanalytic treatment. I mostly prescribe medications to help patients feel good enough to engage more fully in their lives and psychotherapy.

As a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst with over fifteen years of experience as a clinician and teacher, I use a biopsychosocial model to tailor an individual treatment plan by combining several modalities in assessing and treating mental health-related issues, including medical and evidence-based, psychoanalytic, and developmental theories and techniques. I strongly believe in working closely with my patients (and, if necessary, with their families) to form a solid therapeutic alliance to address current and old distress and symptoms.

Dr. Roth has over 25 years of experience as a board certified adult and child psychiatrist. He is also an adult psychoanalyst affiliated with the Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute and a Qualified Medical Evaluator in psychiatry for injured workers in the State of California.
