I'm a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner who graduated from Vanderbilt in 2016. Prior to starting a private practice, I worked in the acute setting at Salem Hospital treating clients in an inpatient unit. I have experience treating clients in stable, and acute disease states. Prior to beginning my career in psychiatric nursing, I specialized in behavioral neuroscience and studied for 12-years a combination of psychology, counseling, and behavioral interventions. My passion is mental health care and I seek to incorporate different modalities into the care.

Holding an MSN from Gonzaga University, she provides evidence-based care for those 18+, addressing anxiety, depression, bipolar, and trauma-related concerns. Melissa emphasizes connections with patients, values inherent worth, and fosters respect, understanding, and compassion. Collaborating on holistic treatment decisions, she builds strong therapeutic relationships in a safe environment.

I see people in the office, not just telehealth! In my opinion, psychiatry/therapy should be in person to foster good communication and connection. I treat all mental health disorders. I also aim to help those treated poorly in the past by other health care providers. I try to unlock resilience, independence, and problem solving, with or without medications. I help people find inner strength and unleash power they have within themselves. Women who have been oppressed need a voice. Everyone should have an enjoyable life with good balance. I will coach you through stressful times and encourage you to lean on healthy relationships.
