I've dedicated my practice to treating individuals with a wide range of psychiatric illness. My specialties in the treatment of children, adolescents and adults utilizes the application of the bio-psycho-social model. After completing training in Adult Psychiatry, I pursued a fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. I am available to provide medication management.
In addition, I have recently become the medical director for Dr Kahlil Shillingford's Bariatric Surgery Practice. My duties include providing clinical supervision to office and hospital staff and performing performance improvement studies.
My interests include Anxiety disorders, Mood disorders, ADHD, Pervasive Developmental Disorder,and Women's issues as well as weight loss. My approach is a comprehensive evaluation, which incorporates various perspectives of illness: including biological/personality/cognitive/
dimensional traits, behavioral and psychosocial stressors.
I believe in being available and having close follow up. I am dedicated, committed and culturally sensitive to the various needs of not only the client but the family as well. I am Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology as well as Board Certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
