I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner offering medication management and supportive therapy for individuals 18+. Prior to specializing in mental health, I practiced as a Certified Nurse Midwife for 20 years in public health and in the department of Maternal Fetal Medicine at the University of Washington and Swedish Medical Center in Seattle. My experience working with women and their families instilled a passion for maternal mental health and inspired me to seek advanced training in perinatal and postpartum mood disorders. I am a certified prescriber by Postpartum Support International.

My work focuses on helping patients enhance and improve effective functioning and satisfaction in their relationship with themselves and others; at home, work and community. I am flexible in my approach, and let the circumstances and reality of the patient shape our work together. I can prescribe medications when appropriate for my psychotherapy patients, but my primary focus is psychotherapy. I am not available for medication management only. I prefer in person sessions but depending upon circumstances, will consider online or a hybrid of both.
