I am a South Florida native, returning after completing my residency program at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago. Despite my fondness for the Windy City, I am thrilled to be back home, closer to family and the warmth of the Florida sun. As a board-certified general adult psychiatrist, my goal is to improve quality of life and wellbeing by empowering you. I see all adult patients with special training in women’s mental health and integrative medicine. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico by a Cuban mother and a Puertorrican father; completed my medical school training as well as my first year of Psychiatry Residency at the University of Puerto Rico Medical School – San Juan, which is the largest Medical Center in Puerto Rico. After completion of my first year of residency I transferred to Gainesville, Florida to finish my psychiatry residency from the University of Central Florida/ HCA Consortium program.
