My duty as a mental health NP is to provide appropriate care for my patients so that they can have productive lives.
On your first visit, we will do a complete psychiatric evaluation so that we can make the most appropriate diagnosis/es. I also provide genetic testing for psychotropic medications. The test will let you know what medications you are able to tolerate. This will help to take the guess work and the trial and failures out of your treatment plan.
I allow my patients to have power and control over their lives. I will listen to your concerns and complaints, so that I can be supportive to your needs. With my experience in psychiatry, I am able to give appropriate suggestions/recommendations so that we can come up with appropriate treatment plan.
