He received his medical degree from the N.H.L Municipal Medical College, Gujarat university of India, completed his Adult Psychiatry Residency from East Tennessee State University-James H. Quillen College of Medicine, and completed his Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Training from Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Patel uses a bio-psycho-social approach for evaluation and treatment. Dr. Patel believes in empowering patients with multiple treatment options including therapy, medications if necessary, and other complementary treatments.
