As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, for close to three years, I have provided mental health psychotherapy and psychopharmacology to manage clients with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, BPD, Schizoaffective disorder, schizophrenia, and patients with substance use disorder. During a medication management session, an assessment of your mental health, review of medication options, effectiveness, and discussion of potential side effects. Adjustments to the medication plan are based on evidence-based.
Treating mental health requires building a therapeutic relationship with you and working as a team to provide healing. One part of my holistic care is active listening, non-judgmental, and the ability to educate clients about medications and encourage open communication to address concerns that align with the treatment plan.
