My name is Peter Ndang, I am a Certified Registered mental health Nurse Practitioner. I believe patients need customized care plan that can help them enjoy productive lives. Patients should have accesses to resources they need to enable them build resilience to cope with the challenges of mental illness. Most of my patients are teenagers and adults. I am more inclined to the integrative therapy. It is incorporating the multiple strategies and techniques that affects the mental spiritual, psychological and physical component of individuals.
I use a calm tone in a quite environment that provides a sense of privacy. I actively listen to my patients as they respond to my open-ended questions. My patients feel they are in a supportive and collaborative environment where their point of view is respected, and we work towards achievement of shared goals.
My drive to a mental health service provider was motivated by my empathy and compassion towards mentally ill individuals. I believe I have acquired multiple valuable skills as a nurse in different role and settings over many years to help me provide excellent care as a mental health Nurse Practitioner.
