I graduated from St. Joseph’s University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and minors in Chemistry and Behavioral Neuroscience. I completed my medical school training at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) and my psychiatry residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University. I am experienced in treating a variety of psychiatric disorders in adults of all ages, as well as young adults, having spent time treating students in the SUNY college system.

Dr. Liss was born and raised in a neighborhood in the North Bronx. He attended Queens College, CUNY where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in Hebrew. He completed Medical school at NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, NY and thereafter was accepted to NUMC for psychiatry residency training. For his final year of residency, Dr. Liss was appointed to the position of Chief Resident at NUMC, Nassau University Medical Center.

I have been both a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and a Pediatric Medical Registered Nurse for over 15 years. I have helped heal the child physically, and emotionally. I’ve assisted pre-teens and teenagers through their transition into adulthood. My youngest patient was one hour old, my eldest was 102 years old. Many of my patients are surprised how well the medication can work. If you have tried therapy unsuccessfully, you may need to start a medication regimen that only an experienced psychiatric NP can put together. I am also a licensed Cannabis provider in NY state.

She brings experience working inpatient and outpatient clinics. She performs psychiatric evaluations, psychiatric diagnoses, and prescribes and provides medication management as well as person-centered psychotherapy to patients residing in New York and Delaware. Appointments are only on weekday evenings and weekends.
