Dr. Ben is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and Medical Education at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine and is double board certified in General Psychiatry & Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Ben received his MD from Cornell University, his BA from Williams College, and completed his residency in general psychiatry and fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at The Mount Sinai Hospital. He has served as Chief Resident of the Department of Psychiatry at Mount Sinai and has been featured on NBC's Today show.
Dr. Ben specializes in providing talk therapy with or without medication for issues with anxiety, sleep, and attention. He also specializes in providing talk therapy to patients who have concerns in their everyday lives about personal relationships, work-related stress, finances, sex, and their work-life balance.
Working globally with diverse cultures and individuals has made him especially sensitive to patients of different cultural backgrounds. He has lived in India, Brazil, South Africa, Colombia, Cuba, Saint Vincent, and Japan. He was born and raised in Queens, is Latino, and is married with two sons (14yo and 4yo).
