I have 30 years of clinical experience treating children, adolescents, and young adults. It is my passion to work with my patients and families to address their challenges in a comprehensive way which results in the best outcomes for my patients and their families. I have specialized in ADHD, anxiety, and depression and have conducted research at Mc Lean Hospital in those areas. Medication evaluations, medication management, and supportive psychotherapy are my specialties. I also teach advanced practice nursing and psychopharmacology at Northeastern University. .

I have been working in outpatient private practice for 3 years. I have worked with patients across the lifespan, and I have a particular interest in working with young adults as well as older adults/geriatrics. I am experienced in the evaluation and treatment of many mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, and mood disorders including bipolar spectrum disorders. I prioritize establishing a collaborative relationship with the individuals I work with. I hope to help my patients set their own goals and provide the environment and support they need in order to reach those goals.

Isabelle Girard provides psychiatric and psychopharmacological assessment and treatment for pediatric patients, as well as adolescents and young adults. She utilizes a holistic approach to guarantee well rounded care for her patients, in addition to supporting the family unit as a whole. Using evidence based practice to evaluate and diagnose, implement therapy skills, and psychopharmacological intervention if necessary, Isabelle treats each and every patient uniquely to find the course of treatment best suited for them.

I am an adult, child and adolescent psychiatrist and Addiction Medicine specialist. I am currently full-time faculty at Boston Children’s Hospital and clinical instructor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. I work in the Adolescent Substance Use and Addiction Program in the Division of Addiction Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital. I also serve on the Massachusetts Medical Society's Committee on Mental Health and Substance Use. In my private practice, I assess and treat patients of all ages.
