I am a board certified adult and child/adolescent psychiatrist based in Westwood who went to UCLA for his bachelors, UC Irvine for his medical degree, and UCLA for his child and adolescent psychiatry training. I have worked in a variety of specialty clinics and settings at UCLA including inpatient, intensive outpatient, and partial hospitalization and was among one of the chief residents during my time there. My goal, first and foremost, is to find what your needs are and to discover how that translates into your best support and care.

Any meds I will not give my own kids, I wouldn't yours!

I am experienced in treating both adults and children with the use of Psychoanalytic methods. I use the object relations approaches of Klein, Winnicott and Bion. In child therapy, I engage children on a deep level through play, dreams, art and conversation. With adults, I use free association, night and day dreams. My object is to expose patients to their primitive, deep anxieties allowing them to work through their troubled minds, facilitating internal growth and development, and positive social interactions. I also work with mothers and babies having bonding difficulties. My practice is busy so use email for best results.

Dr. Seif is a board certified psychiatrist with a subspecialty in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and integrative mental health. As an integrative psychiatrist, she looks with her patients and looks at the roots of their problems. Instead of addressing the illness itself only, Dr. Seif’s approach is proactive. Her goal is to find the deep cause of the current mental state of her patients, to better understand their thought process and to prevent future illness and setbacks. Dr. Seif’s journey, her education, and her passion for helping others have led her to develop a patient-centered outlook in her line of work.
