Hi, I am Dr. Pooja Shah, a board-certified child psychiatrist and adult psychiatrist specializing in the treatment of anxiety, depression, ADHD, and Autism. We will start with an initial 90-minute appointment where we go over your symptoms and formulate an evidence-based treatment plan including talk therapy and if appropriate, use of medications where indicated. Trained at Harvard, Johns Hopkins, and the University of Pennsylvania, I have been in the clinical practice of psychiatry, psychotherapy, and psychopharmacology in the Philadelphia area for over forty years, and provide crisis-intervention, consultation and short- and long-term therapy for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I have extensive experience in the treatment of psychosomatic and eating disorders, depression and suicidal behavior, anxiety, psychosis, sexual and physical abuse, and addictions, among other problems, and also provide consultation and ongoing clinical supervision for mental health professionals of all disciplines.

As an adult and child psychiatrist I provide psychotherapy and medication management services. I see patients with a variety of concerns. I have experience in the treatment of anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, mood disorders, PTSD, addiction, psychosis and more. I also recognizes that many people do not fit into a specific diagnosis but may still feel that they could be getting more out of life. I also specialize in helping these individuals explore their minds in order to achieve a more fulfilling life.

The focus of my work is healing, not only mental, but also spiritual and emotional, so that one can reach their full potential. I work with clients of all ages. Having trained at CHOP and Tufts University, I incorporate evidence-based medicine and the latest research in the fields of psychotherapy and psychopharmacology when I practice. I work with almost all psychiatric disorders, with particular expertise in ADHD, anxiety, and depression. I am taking new patients at this time and either myself or someone in my practice is usually available to see a new client within four weeks.

I am interested in the thoughtful integration of medication, psychotherapy, and mind-body practices in achieving emotional well-being. My approach is practical and ranges from concrete problem solving to deep emotional healing work. In other words, I can often be "one-stop shopping" for mental health issues. I can work with a wide range of issues such as attentional problems, mood disorders, relationship issues, and issues of "finding one's way in a stressful, confusing world." I work with adult individuals and couples. In all cases, I consider warmth and humor an important part of treatment.

Dr. Daye-Lee believes in a holistic treatment approach based on evidence-based practice and patient centered-care. She believes in meeting the needs of each patient individually to help improve their quality of life.

I am a Board Certified Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Psychiatry trained across the lifespan. I have experience in outpatient, inpatient, partial hospitalization and Intensive outpatient services. 10+ years as a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Psychiatry and 17+ years as a nurse in Critical Care Units, Cardiology, Pediatric Medical Psychiatry, Emergency Departments, Telemetry, and many levels of Behavioral Health care. I very much enjoy working with patients across the lifespan from age 6- 70 years.
