I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with experience treating children, adolescents, and young adults. In addition to my outpatient practice, I work in a residential group home where I provide psychiatric care for adolescents in DCF custody. My previous work experience includes inpatient pediatric psychiatric care, PHP (partial hospitalization program), emergency room consultation and MCPAP (Massachusetts Child Psychiatry Access Program).

I have been working in the mental health field in various roles since 1998 from working with children and adolescents as a behavioral interventionist and health care coordinator in residential programs for youth with complex diagnoses and histories of trauma, and with adults inpatient at a state hospital. I currently feel passionate about treating ages 6-60

My goal is geared towards establishing an environment centered on trust and meaning for all patients from all backgrounds. As a lead nurse practitioner during the pandemic times of isolation, quarantine, and minimal social events, I observed and treated the immediate, short-term impacts of COVID-19 and grew an interest in understanding the long-term mental health impacts of the pandemic, especially among marginalized groups of people.

They struggle with executive functioning (it's basically a struggle to just get through any given day): trouble regulating what to pay attention to, self-restraint, working memory ("what was I saying?"), emotional control, focus, task initiation (motivation, procrastination), completing tasks, planning/prioritization, organization, time management, defining and achieving goals, overwhelm and stress tolerance. I am Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry and have been practicing since 2005. I completed my residency from Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts and my Fellowship in Addictions from the Robert Johnson Wood Foundation. In 2014, I was featured in SJ Magazine as one of New Jersey’s top psychiatrists. I have experience working with adults as well as adolescents suffering from both psychiatric diagnosis and substance use disorders and have extensive experience working in both out-patient and in-patient settings.
