Dr. Sherbondy has greater than 20 years of experience in the field of Psychiatry. He received his medical degree at Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, California. Then, he completed his residency and fellowship at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, South Carolina. He is triple board-certified in general psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, and addiction medicine. Dr. Sherbondy provides treatment for adults, teenagers, and children diagnosed with depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorder, panic disorder, OCD, and more.

I am board certified adult psychiatrist with fellowship child / adolescent training. I believe that every child and young adult can shine to his/her fullest potential with the right support and nurturing approach. I assess each patient and crafts individualized treatment plans to help patients reach their short and long term treatment goals.

I am the founder and psychiatrist at Hope Restored Psychiatry, LLC. I am specialized in child and adolescent psychiatry. As children grow, I will continue treating them into early adulthood as I am also a board certified adult psychiatrist. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management. During medication management appointments, I also provide counseling and psychoeducation to patients and their families. I prefer meeting all patients in person for the first visit, but I also offer virtual medication management visits following the initial visit.

I am a Greenville native and I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Clemson University. In 2008, I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the Medical College of Georgia. I have been a nurse practitioner for 15 years and I hold dual board certifications in family practice and psychiatric mental healthcare. I have a very diverse clinical background that includes psychiatry, neurology and gerontology.
