I am a more sensitive, empathic, and understanding child and adolescent psychiatrist (CAP) because I have ADHD and several different learning disabilities. When I was young, I constantly worried about being unable to stay in my seat or complete my assignments without making “silly” mistakes. As a child and adolescent psychiatrist, I’ve learned how to treat hyperactivity, but as an adult, I know what it’s like to be a hyperactive youngster. With that knowledge, I can ask kids “insider” questions that can only arise from shared experiences. My “insider” knowledge facilitates rapport, a core indicator of successful treatment.

Conditions such as depression, anxiety and stress-related conditions affect one in five adults and can cause a lot of distress. Finding the right treatment often takes time and effort. That is where I come in. 14 years of experience in diverse clinical settings enables me to work collaboratively and effectively with individuals living with these conditions. I often collaborate with other clinicians in the care of my patients to ensure that treatment is integrated and holistic. I look forward to working with you.

I have expertise in psychodynamics, CBT, and psychopharmacology. I have experience in the clinical assessment and treatment of Adult ADHD, depression and anxiety. In 2015, I was named a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. I am a Three Best Rated Psychiatrist in Philadelphia. I was named a Top Doc in Psychiatry in 2020. I offer initial assessments, coordination of care, and the choice of several treatment modalities (including medication). I do not accept insurance. Rittenhouse Psychiatric Associates providers Telehealth Virtual Psychiatric evaluations, medication management and therapy and in-office appointments. In-office appointments are available in our Philadelphia and Mainline of Philadelphia location (Paoli, PA) and virtual appointments to patients in New Jersey, New York and Florida. Specifically, I treat adults with various psychiatric struggles, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder and ADHD. A large subset of my patients are college and graduate students, in additional to young professionals.

WE ARE ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS! North Star Psychiatry offers medication management and psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and young adults. We accept new patients between ages 4 and 25 years. Patients outside of this age range may be accepted on a case-by-case basis. We offer a hybrid treatment model with in-person visits at our physical location in Malvern, PA and telepsychiatry visits anywhere in the state of Pennsylvania. We have extensive experience working with young people who are living with mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, ODD, PTSD, OCD, and eating disorders.

I spent two decades as a psychiatrist in a psychiatric emergency room, and my heart always went out to all of the people who I saw who I thought were misdiagnosed and improperly treated. I hope to help change that now that I have moved into providing individual treatment. I am not a psychiatrist who just wants to see you just to repeatedly write unending prescriptions, either. More than anything, I want to just UNDERSTAND who you are and what you need. My practice focuses on Integrative Medicine, the concept of Mind, Body and Spirit. Mental illness involved the whole body not just the brain. Jeffrey Naser MD, LLC is a private, fee-for service psychiatric practice in Berwyn PA. Dr. Naser's team includes Ms. Maria Capriotti and Ms. Terri Leone, both Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners. We provide psychiatric assessment, second opinions and medication management for children, teens and adults. We have significant experience working with a range of psychiatric challenges including Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, Autism, OCD, PTSD, and others. Our initial evalations are done in-person. We offer a choice for follow up visits, either remote or in-person. We work hard to provide a trusting and collaborative relationship.

My aim is to understand you, not just medicate you. My work is in depth, encompassing current and past treatments, relationship and professional history, family history and other important areas of your life. I see patients from age 18 to 60, primarily treat depression and anxiety. My sessions are very interactive utilizing strength based approaches, cognitive therapy, behavioral modification and other modalities. Goals are identified as are obstacles to achieving them. Validated rating scales are used to further explore areas of concern and genetic testing is used when considering best medications.

Generally there is a role for medication, psychotherapy or discussion on psychological growth, and practical changes in the way one lives.
